Balance three dimensions
by Juan Fret on 12/5/2015
According to the author Michael Berber (E-Myths publications) successful small business owners must balance three dimensions, namely technical, managerial and entrepreneurial.
Technical work is our comfort zone, it represents our filed of expertise, that which we studied and/or learned. That makes us barbers, lawyers, plumbers, doctors, consultants, etc. We probably would like to spend all of time doing technical work.
Managerial work is working on and not in your business. It represents all things that are necessary to assure that your business is running efficiently all other aspects of your business from a business administration perspective. Two partners may agree to have one complete the outside work while the other partner completes all the inside work.
Our entrepreneurial dimension includes our dreams, the vision of what our future should look like, that place or condition that we yearn for. This is the "fire in the belly" motivation that shall drive our business forward and make it thrive!
